[thunderfall]

Thunderfall padded into camp carrying a small mouse she had found while hunting. She sighed as she dropped it onto the fresh-kill pile.

[Panda]

Heatedstep padded into camp after Thunderfall. He stopped at the fresh kill pile and threw down a fish he had caught earlier. He stretched his paws and yawned. It was a good thing that the prey was coming back, not that StreamClan ever had issues with food with all that fish they could get from the ponds and such. He sat down and noticed Thunderfall sigh. "Good Morning Thunderfall." He said happily.

"Oh, hey Heatedstep," Thunderfall said. "How's the prey running?"

[Panda]

"Pretty well. the Fish are slowly comming back from Leafbare I actually got a pretty normal sized one this time." He smiled and looked at the fish he'd placed in the fresh kill pile.

[thunderfall]

"That's great! I can't wait until the fish are practically leaping into our paws again," Thunderfall said.

[Panda]

He turned his head back towards Thunderfall. Heatedstep purred in amusement. "Yes can't wait when that happens." He heard his stomach rumble and he walked over to the fresh kill pile. He grabbed a fish and walked back over to Thunderfall. "Would you like to share?" He asked kindly.

[thunderfall]

"I would love too," Thunderfall said, smiling.

[Panda]

Heatedstep tore apart the fish and pushed half of it towards Thunderfall. He then ate his half, savoring the flavor that only fish seemed to possess. "I wonder when Silentstar will send out the next Hunting Patrol." He wondered outloud. "Because I'd love to go hunting again."

[thunderfall]

Thunderfall quickly ate her part of the fish. "Same here," Thunderfall agreed, licking her lips.

[Purrlstar]

Riverfang was laying over by the warriors den, with a yawn he looked over at Thunderfall and Heatedstep. he wondered why they were sharing a piece of prey, but he blinked away his yawn and discarded the thought. "I'm bored." he complained placing his head on his paws. his sister Frozendream padded up next to him carrying a small water shrew. "Well if you would get off your lazy tail in the morning and help catch prey like the rest of the warriors, we wouldn't have this problem now would we?" she said flatly dropping her shrew in front of her brother. "That's for you, its the scrawniest thing I could find." Riverfang laughed. 'Oh yeah, like I'd like to eat a pile of bones." Riverfang pawed at the shrew and brought it closer to him for an analyzing sniff. "Thanks." he said before digging into the prey. "you know," he began with a mouth full of fur. "you can have some too if you want." Frozendream turned her gaze towards him flashes of anger flying off her pelt and Riverfang was slightly surprised by her reaction. "I'll eat when there is enough prey to go around." she snorted and walked off. Riverfang was left dazed and confused about why his sister got so offended when he mentioned she should eat some prey, but he just guessed that she was grumpy because she got up pretty early that day to go hunting.

Silentstar padded into the center of the clearing and looked around, stretching momentarily and surveying the camp. Heatedstep and Thunderfall were sharing a mouse and Riverfang was quickly devouring a shrew. He glanced at the meager freshkill pile and gave a small frown, looking over at Frozendream and how thin she looked. Come to think of it, all of his warriors looked thin.

He shook his head and leapt onto the large boulder, clearing his throat to gain attention. He waited until everyone seemed to be listening before speaking, "I need to send out a hunting patrol. Thunderfall, take Frozendream and Heatedstep with you. I'd recommend hunting near the Woodclan border." he turned his gaze to Frozendream and spoke with authority, "Frozendream, make sure you eat before you head out. I will be announcing who will be our new deputy when you all return." He leapt down and walked over to Riverfang, "Riverfang, Come with me on a quick border patrol."

[Panda]

Heatedstep looked up from his eating his fish and licked his jowls. The leader of StreamClan, Silentstar, had walked into the middle of the camp most likely to make an announcement. Heatedstep stood up to listen. He had been told to go on a Hunting patrol with Thunderfall and Frozendream.

Heatedstep bowed in respect to his leader as he made his way to the camp exit. Hopefully something was going to happen on this trip that was at least interesting. His heart skipped a beat when Silentstar said something about announcing the Deputy. He was excited. Heatedstep had not had an apprentice just yet so it couldn't be him.

[Purrlstar]

Frozendream sighed in frustration and tried to find something she could nibble on that was hiding at the bottom of the freshkill pile, she couldn't fake it with all these warriors hanging around. She found a bird that looked like it was mostly feathers and started plucking off the long quills, she hated putting feathers in her mouth.

Riverfang finished off his Shrew quickly and licked his lips clean, the prey wasn't as small as Frozendream said it was. Riverfang guessed his sister really did care about him despite all the mean things she said. It was to be expected though, because they were the only surviving kits from their litter, including their mother. Riverfang saw Silentstar walking up to him and dipped his head in respect. "I'm right behind you." He said giving his muzzle a few more licks to clean off the scraps of shrew he had missed before following Silentstar out of the camp.

Ironclaw emerged from the warriors' den with a loud yawn and walked up to Silentstar as Riverfang and he were exiting the camp, "Could I join you and Riverfang on the patrol, Silentstar? I'm itching to get out of the camp."

Thunderfall nodded to Heatedstep and Frozendream for them to follow, and then padded out of camp in the direction of the DawnClan border.
